Resident in Counseling
The paths of life’s journey are sometimes clear and easily followed. At other times, our paths can meander in uncertain and unpredictable ways. Fog may obscure the way ahead. You may find a steep cliff face before you. Perhaps the way is clear, but steep and difficult. Regardless of where you find yourself on the path, I’m eager to walk it with you as a fellow traveler. Together, we can navigate what lies ahead in transformative and healing ways.
I’m grateful to be part of the profound work happening at Adagio House as a Resident in Counseling. I hold a Ph.D. in Counseling and Supervision and certification as a National Certified Counselor. Over nearly the past decade, I’ve had the opportunity to provide counseling services to persons of all ages in a variety of settings, including college counseling centers, community agencies, free clinics, retirement centers, and a partial hospitalization program. My approach to counseling is influenced by existential, contemplative, and psychodynamic perspectives. This means that I will seek to join with you as a fellow traveler and that we will attend to the implicit and emergent parts of your lived experience as well as those parts that can be readily named. I believe that psychotherapy is an experiential process unique to each person and that an empathic therapeutic relationship can help to illuminate your own inner wisdom and ways of knowing.
If your path on life’s journey could use a fellow traveler, please reach out for a free initial consultation. Sessions are available in-person and via telehealth. Blessings to you on the journey.
