We believe caregivers are the heart and soul of our society, with the power to heal and shape future generations. Such a vital role is not one to be held in isolation.
Adagio House exists to provide high quality, trauma-informed, attachment-based psychotherapeutic services to all types of caregivers and their loved ones, regardless of their ability to pay.
We believe healthy relationships are the foundation for a healthy life. In addition to individual therapy, we run various support groups to help you connect with others who understand the challenges you face, creating strong and supportive relationships to carry you through. If you are a local caregiving business, we offer trainings and seminars to help you meet the needs of the professional caregivers in your care. Whatever form your caregiving takes, we want you to know you are welcome here.
Caring for caregivers begins with caring for each other. Services provided flow out of an intentional work community of sustainable, holistic care for ourselves, each other, and our world. Our environment is one of welcome, mutuality, and kindnesss in which co-workers practice the attachment principles they teach clients.
We are proud to serve the Shenandoah Valley as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and intend to sustain our services through fundraisers, fee-for-service, donations, and grants. We have a small and nimble board of wise women who understand the heart of our mission and meet regularly to conduct official business.
