April Hepler

Executive Director

With over 20 years of experience working with families and youth in a variety of roles, April's work is also informed by her experience as a wife and mother, as she parents in a blended family and raises a child with developmental disabilities.  As a therapist, she brings a trauma-informed attachment perspective, believing in the powerful healing possible in the context of our relationships.

Casey Hurren

Resident in Counseling

Casey Hurren is an Eastern Mennonite University alumni, a graduate from the Masters in Counseling program. She is a resident in counseling with a passion to work with children and adolescents. A native of Michigan, Casey went to Northern Michigan University to get her bachelor’s in Psychology and minor in art. She now likes to incorporate expressive art into her work, providing individuals sitting with her a warm creative space. 

Rebecca Peifer

Resident in Counseling

Rebecca received her Masters in Counseling in 2018 and has since been working in a variety of settings, providing support to individuals and groups.  She is passionate about helping clients develop a grounded sense of self to cultivate realistic expectations and healthy boundaries in all areas of life.  Her approach is client-centered with an awareness of the interpersonal dynamics that contribute to our daily experiences.

Brandie Elliott

Skilled Caregiver

Brandie is an alumni of Bridgewater College with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication studies. Brandie is passionate about serving individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and has worked in a large variety of roles over the last 10 years. Brandie values relationships with people and is excited about serving the families at Adagio House!

Stephanie Morehead

Graduate Counseling Intern

Stephanie is a Qualified Mental Health Professional and a counselor-in-training working towards a graduate degree in Mental Health Counseling through the University of the Cumberlands.  She has worked in the field of mental health for the past five years.

Her background in the person-centered therapeutic model is the foundation for her beilef in the power of the therapeutic relationship. 

Stephanie offers unconditional support for her clients through empowerment, learning, and growth.
